Reach for the Sky on Spectacle Island

Boston Harbor Now and the American India Foundation in collaboration with the National Park Service, Department of Conservation and City of Boston welcome you to join us with your family for a picnic at Spectacle Island on Sunday, August 26th.

Take a ferry from Downtown Boston at Long Wharf North and enjoy a summer day flying kites, relaxing on the beach, soaking in the scenic views of the city, playing fun outdoor games along with a picnic lunch.

10:00 AM Check-in begins at Long Wharf

10:30 AM Ferry departs for Spectacle Island

Return ferry options: 1:30 PM or 3:30 PM.

Ferry ride takes about 30 minutes each way.

Bring swimming suits, picnic blankets, hats, and sunscreen!

Parking available at International Place, Lewis Wharf and Harborside Garage. Parking fees vary from $12 - 35. There is free on-street parking on Sundays.
